Seconds Markets was born out of a simple idea: there had to be a better way to resell clothing. What began in a small San Francisco studio apartment quickly turned into something much bigger. Frustrated by the slow pace and low returns of online resale platforms and consignment shops, our founder rented a tiny retail space, invited a few friends, and filled it with racks of preloved pieces. The first pop-up sparked something special—and soon, what started as a one-day event grew into a community-driven movement.

Today, Seconds Markets operates in five cities and counting. We’re proudly female-founded and owned, building a modern resale experience that puts people and planet first.

We believe sustainability should be inclusive, accessible, and rooted in community. From day one, we’ve prioritized working with local vendors, POC-owned event spaces, and partners who reflect the communities we serve. Transparency is at the core of everything we do—whether it’s our pricing, our partnerships, or our operations.

We also operate a nonprofit arm focused on redistributing resources and expanding access to our most undeserved communities. Through every event and initiative, we aim to build something bigger than resale—we’re here to create opportunity, connection, and impact.

Think of our markets as Depop in person! We prioritize closet sellers vs resellers or vintage sellers and our prices reflect that. Because we don't have any say in how much (or little) our sellers price things for it's hard to give a range. However, we have a folder here of reviews from our markets, lots of which include pricing!
